FireIce® XT EMFIDS
Description
The FireIce® XT Emergency Manhole FireIce® Delivery System (EMFIDS) is a portable system that automatically detects and contains subsurface events, providing a critical and potentially life-saving pathway out of an subsurface vault in the event of an emergency. Powered by FireIce® XT, EMFIDS is triggered in milliseconds by heat (fire), light (arc), or manually by the push of a portable magnetized emergency button.
EMFIDS applies a dense, protective coating to the interior of the vault, the worker, and the escape ladder in milliseconds, while immediately cooling the environment.
